If you’ve been following me for a while you’ll know I’m not a big fan of the fitness challenges put out there by most franchise fitness businesses these days. Keep reading because this isn’t just a rant about this…
Now I am not naive enough to believe they don’t work for everyone and for some it may be a great short term approach to get them started on their fitness journey but in my opinion the long term effects of this mindset have damaged the industry and the mindset of consumers in our space.
To invest it all in something and see great returns only to lose them shortly after it all ends is not something I want the industry I am a part of to be seen as!
Challenge after challenge where you go to undo the poor eating and other lifestyle factors that crept back in after your last challenge ended…
Instead I hope that one day the fitness industry will be a place where performance is celebrated and not the way you look, where people train to celebrate what they’re capable of rather than viewing training as a way to undo poor lifestyle choices and where the gym is the place where you go to do things which are harder than what life expects of you so everything required of you daily becomes easier!
