Fitness and Amenities...
Most businesses these days, especially those in the fitness space have taken to competing on amenities. Because that’s what gets people results right?
Wrong!
I empathise with today's fitness business consumer because amenities are how everyone evaluates one business against another. If all consumers are told about is the features, how nice the facility is and the variety of flavours in the smoothie bar then that’s all they have to gauge how good one business is VS another.
While I feel it is nice to have these things the most important factor is not the thread count of your free towel service but the coaching you provide your clients and the results you deliver…
Sure these things are a little harder to differentiate in the market and not as easy to boast as nice amenities but if I was a consumer these would be the things which are most important to me.
What I know about the people fitting out these beautiful gyms is they aren’t necessarily in business to get people fit. What I can promise you when you visit us is not the most beautiful gym but the coaching is world class!
