Staying In Routine...
Weekends are a time for many when things seem to unravel…
Late nights, sleep ins and non structured days all lead to a change in habits for 2 days and then when Monday rolls around the struggle is real when trying to get the routine started again.
It doesn’t have to be like this though. Sure you want to do fun things and hang with friends but if your health and fitness is your number one priority then surely you can plan around this to stay in routine?
Rather than changing everything at once I would suggest running it through a filter. For example when an event comes up ask yourself whether by going will you be able to stay in routine? If the answer is no then you could perhaps ask if there is a way you can enjoy both. Perhaps book dinner for 6pm instead of 8pm to ensure an early night, book an early breakfast so you keep the same wake up time in the morning or pack your own picnic at the park instead of eating out.
You’d be surprised how easy the following week is if you choose to stay in routine over the weekend…
