The Lifting Conversation...

All too often I hear the statement…

“I don’t want to lift big weights I just want to lift with good form”

Let’s put an end to this conversation!

Anyone who has been training for a while knows this...

A prerequisite to lifting bigger weights or performing more technical movements is good form.

For those on the outside looking in it may seem like cheating the system and trading “good form” for “bad form” will allow you to sneak out a bit of extra weight when needed…

If this is you then let me be the first to tell you lifting big weights requires good form. Yes, the two are not mutually exclusive…

For real life examples of this you only need to watch the Olympics...

Gymnasts, weightlifters, track and field athletes. The strongest and fastest athletes in the world all moving with impeccable form.

It is no accident they make their performances seem effortless. They have mastered the movements and disciplines they compete in and have earned the right to lift the heaviest weights and perform the most complex of movements.

Your future personal best is not coming with “bad form”. So whether you’re brand new or have been doing this for years your next best performance is only coming when you move with “good form!”
