Specific Vs Group Program...

Let’s make one thing clear…

In a perfect world your training program would be specific to you. However, just because it is specific doesn’t mean it is effective and will yield the best results…

There are too many variables to consider and to be honest a general program will get you to say 95% of your potential whereas a program written for you may only make 1-2% difference. Now for a professional athlete, this could mean the difference between championships and wooden spoons and my guess is for you it doesn’t make too much difference to your livelihood or career prospects…

In my opinion most people looking around in the CrossFit space are putting the “programming” on a pedestal. You know who doesn’t do this? The best sporting teams in the country. That’s right they following team training programs. Yet every day I hear average people demanding a special program tailored exactly for them.

If this is you and you’re blaming your program stop it. You’re shifting the responsibility and at the end of the day we aren’t as special as we like to think we are…

Find a program you enjoy, people you enjoy doing it with and get to work!
