Follow The Damn Recipe
“I tried it and it didn’t work”
Usually when I hear this from someone I ask them about what they did in their training. The responses vary but in the end the reason it didn’t work is because they strayed from the program…
“I tried CrossFit but didn’t like lifting the heavier weights so just did lighter weights for more reps instead”
OR
“I like weightlifting but hate the gymnastics so just went on the days we lifted”
To me this is kinda like someone buying a cookbook and then replacing the ingredients and blaming the recipe for the bad result…
In the age where we have unlimited access to different recipes (and gym programs) the hard part about getting good advice isn’t getting it. It’s following it!
