Self Talk...

Every day I observe people normalising their excuses for not doing some sort of training…

The number of emails I have received to the gym’s inbox over the last 4 years is evidence of this.

People who can’t wait to tell me why their circumstances are different and affect their ability to train in our gym or follow some sort of training practice…  

If this is you cut it out because I and everyone else around you can see through it.

As long as stories of people training while on active duty in war zones, those in wheelchairs and others with missing limbs are trekking the Kokoda trail I don’t want to hear about why you’re so special.

To be honest I can’t remember the last time I walked through the local supermarket or grabbed a coffee and didn’t have someone offer me their defeatist self talk and tell me all the reasons they weren’t currently doing some sort of training.

So rather than offering me and those around you all the reasons you can’t train start putting out to the world all the reasons you can and and see what happens…
