One Thing At A Time...

People these days take so much pride in being busy. I know this because I too am guilty of having 10 things going on at once… Multi tasking! 

While we think that doing more with our limited attention span is good, because we can fit more in, I would argue the output at these times severely lacks the quality you prefer and is favouring quantity… 

Sure it might seem as though our attention can be stretched across multiple tasks and time zones but truth be told you’re probably better off just doing one thing to a higher quality and then moving on… 

This leads me to my challenge for you today. Find ways in which you can do fewer things to allow you to focus more on the task at hand. A classic example I see with this is using your phone in the gym… If you’re spending time on it and either not listening to the coach or skipping sets you’re already missing out on a quality session…  

If you’re like me creating these boundaries and focussing on one thing at a time will allow you to produce better more rewarding work that you’re proud of….
