Avoidance...

There’s a certain phenomena that happens with fitness. For those who do it and those who don’t…  

Avoidance!

Those who don’t follow some sort of fitness program can explain all the reasons they can’t or shouldn’t. They seem to have this ability to sell themselves some story of why it’s no good for them even though the truth of the matter is they would be better off if they did.    

So in saying this you would assume that those who do follow a fitness program are home free…

Wrong!

If you follow a program and have ever had the following thoughts you have experienced this avoidance… “I don’t like burpees” “Wall balls aren’t my thing” or “I might give today a miss because it doesn’t look fun”

If these thoughts or feelings pop up in your head I want you to remember the reason you started with us in the first place.

It wasn’t to do all the things you’re good at or nothing but fun workouts. If this was the case you would have gone somewhere else. It’s because you wanted a particular result and to get better. In my experience the fun things don’t always deliver these kinds of results…

So my rule of thumb is…

If you are avoiding something take it as a hint that it’s probably the thing you need to be doing the most!
