You Don't Need To Be Fit To Kick It...

If I had a dollar for every time I heard this excuse for not training I would be writing this from my mansion and not the coffee shop I am currently sitting in…

Can you guess what it is?

It’s something which just seems to roll off the tongue when you get a little nervous about starting at a new gym or putting yourself out there…

The excuse is “I’m not fit enough yet” then the following sentence is “Once I get back into it I will come in and try it out”

Don’t get me wrong it’s ok to think that, but you’re unfit compared to what?

What is your benchmark?

And what is the reason people go to the gym? TO GET FIT!

Let me put it this way...

If I had a guess I could say you have witnessed some sort of professional sports team play. I would also say you have played a sport as a kid in school or on the weekend in some sort of social competition.

Now just because you saw the professional athletes of the NRL, AFL or NBA play at an amazing level doesn’t mean this is who you would be playing with or against in your social competitions on the weekend. It’s just not how it works…

So why is it, after watching one or two Youtube videos of a CrossFit workout you immediately draw the conclusion that this type of training is not for you?

Yes there is a professional competition for the 1% of people who do CrossFit competitively but in no way does this mean it is only for fit people and not an amazing program for the everyday person.

You are fit enough as it is. Wherever IT is for you…

Our clients are all different ages, sizes and fitness backgrounds. They have different levels of fitness and strength.

Each class is often a mixed bunch of all of the above all with one common goal.

The goal to be better than they were yesterday! To grow and transcend who they were yesterday!

Every person in the gym has the workout modified for them by our coaching staff. From the person stepping into a gym for the first time to the former olympian we can tailor our workouts for both clients.

So whether you currently train 5 times per week or you haven’t lifted a finger since your last work sports day you CAN do this.

You won’t even stand out in the class because you will be great at some things but you will suck at others and this is all part of it.

We are all on this fitness journey together and everyone has their own starting point.

Getting better requires you to make a decision.

When are you going to make yours?

Or are we going to have the awkward conversation where you tell me you will come in when you “GET FIT”?
